    Does tamoxifen cause joint pain

Does anyone taking Tamoxifen battle with sore joints? I thought it was an after effect of chemo or radiation but it's almost a year since I stopped those and wonder if it's the tablets that cause it? Mostly elbows, wrists and feet - feel like they are burning. Doris I wouldn't know if I had joint pain from Tamoxifen because I started it at the end of chemo and before radiation. Sorry I shouldn't complain I know how fortunate I am to be over the treatment - just hoped I would be back to normal by now!! I was switched from Tamoxifen after 2&1/2 years to Exemestane and I had a lot of pain, all over, and have subsequently switched to Anastrozole which I seem to tolerate. Both of these drugs knocked my metabolism way down which showed me that my body was very stressed with the change in drugs. Hi Perajo, I too suffer with joint pain from femara and then tamoxifen. Jean I don't really have joint pain but do have arthitis in fingers (have had surgery on them) but I never know if from med or just my age 52 yrs... since Aug 2008-did have surgery (hysterectomy) due to meds.. Talk to your doctor about which medications may be most appropriate for you. Tamoxifen is used for hormone-dependent types of breast cancer. It works by blocking the effect of estrogen in the body and thus stopping the growth of cancer cells that possess the estrogen receptors. Since this medication reduces the effects of estrogen, side effects will resemble menopausal symptoms such as hot flashes, vaginal dryness and insomnia.. It's really bad in my shoulder and also present in my hip, knees and ankles. I have crappy insurance and a not so great doctor, so I'm not getting taken seriously.

Impotence means that a man's penis doesn't get hard enough to have sexual intercourse. He or she will want to learn if any medical conditions might be causing the impotence. Your doctor will ask you about your medical history. The major causes of ED include: A man with impotence has either a problem getting an erection or difficulty maintaining one. In other men, especially those whose impotence is largely caused by psychological factors, the problem may occur unpredictably. Men with impotence may continue to have normal orgasm and ejaculation without a full erection. Some men slowly lose the firmness of their erections or how long the erections last. These may include vascular, neurological and hormonal disorders. Many men who have impotence because of vascular disease also have a history of heart disease, stroke or poor circulation in their legs. Neurological problems can contribute to impotence in men with a history of diabetes and spinal cord injury. They also can cause symptoms in other parts of the body. Hello All, Just wondering if any of you have had experience with this. My ALT liver enzyme came back at 31 and then 33 two weeks later. But all I have read it seems like I’m in a normal range. I am wondering if she is worrying me needlessly as she said in a note to me that I’m not at a dangerous level and its not concerning. Not concerning but she wants me to see a gastrointerologist? All other blood levels are well within normal on a CBC panel including AST. This is another new medical issue for me so I don’t understand all of it yet. A few years ago I had high ALT and AST numbers and the cause was Pravastatin. I had to switch to simvastatin and I haven’t had any trouble since. Myself and my doctor knows for sure that pravastatin was the cause because I would go off of Pravastatin for a month get my blood tested and my numbers would drop to normal and then I would go back on pravastatin wait a month get another blood test and they would go way up and then I would to do that again and the result was always the same. Proof positive that it was the Pravastatin causing my liver numbers to go Haywire. Also my legs were weak and I didn’t even realize that it was another side effect of Pravastatin Some years ago, my liver enzymes were very high, one was 360. As a result of liver stuff, I was put on insulin early because, at that time at least, oral meds would have put more stress on liver enzymes.
