I have Sjgrens syndrome and fibromyalgia, and take Lyrica, too. I'll take Advil for the discomfort and at least keep my hair. In the past 3 months have noticed extreme hair thinning & breakage. Jeff Donovan MD Ph D FRCPC FAADUS & Canadian board-certified Dermatologist Toronto, Canada Dear dcctor: There are many doctors who claim that many drugs don’t cause hair loss, but yet there are many patients who take medications that end up with hair loss, and when they go off of the medication, hair loss subsides. Maybe I will just tell the doctor to wean me off of them, as they really aren't a cure for this. Have you tried any hair products like Rogaine, if so did it work? be sure to check with your physician and ideally your dermatologist as well to review all possible causes of your hair loss.

Sep 25, 2017 I am on plaquenil and my hairloss continues. Not only have I lost nearly all my hair, but the quality of the hair has changed from thick glossy healthy hair, to thin wiry brittle hair. I keep being told that plaquenil will help with the hair loss – it hasn’t. Hair loss is found among people who take Plaquenil, especially for people who are female, 50-59 old, have been taking the drug for 1 - 6 months, also take medication Enbrel, and have Psoriatic arthropathy Dec 13, 2012 ~shalyserenee~ said. Plaquenil - Road Back Foundation I don't think plaquenil is enough on its own to tackle babesia, you have to take it with other meds like mepron, malarone, artemisinin, etc. I do know that he was a little withdrawn/down when he started it something that I always attribute to a babesia herx for him as he seems to get that way whenever he starts a new babesia type med.
