    Best time to take plaquenil

Rheumy says I can take them together or separately anytime I want. Hope that you won't suffer from the side effects. I have found that for me i can't take my Plaquenil before bed as it makes me anxious and makes it difficult to sleep. I’m thinking I’ll take them both together before bed. TIAI took them with breakfast but the first 6 weeks I suffered from extreme nausea as a side effect. I work overnights, so I take it before i go to work, then by the time I get home I am able to sleep ok.

Take Plaquenil with a meal or a glass of milk. To prevent malaria Start taking Plaquenil 2 weeks before entering an area where malaria is common. Continue taking the medicine regularly during your stay and for at least 8 weeks after you leave the area. To treat malaria Plaquenil is usually given for 3 days. If side effects do occur, they are usually minor and last only for a short period of time. Potential side effects of anti-malarial drugs include Skin rashes and pigment change. Atabrine, specifically, can cause yellow pigmentation of skin. Sometimes Plaquenil can also deposit in the tissues of the body and cause the skin to take on a greenish. Hello friends, I take my Plaquenil in the morning with breakfast. I feel very shaky, dizzy and just off all day. Does anyone take it at night? Will it keep me up? Why do I have to take it in the morning.

One thing I have noticed, is mosquitoes tend not to target me, and I'm wondering if they taste the same yucky quinine flavor, and like us, aren't down with it. :)As for my routine, I took it at night, with or without food. I've had success taking it with a glass of milk, which is recommended on my perscription. I can get an upset stomach if I don't take them with milk or food right before. I always take it with food though, as it makes me nauseous otherwise. Almost 30 years, and it hasn't given me a speck of trouble, not even in the eyes.

Re best time to take plaquenil. You take plaquenil twice a day, approximately 12 hours apart. The most common side effect is mild nausea and occasional stomach cramps. You can take it with food if it upsets your stomach. You should also have a complete eye exam before starting this medication and then every 6 months. Re Refusing to take Plaquenil If your doc recommends you take plaquenil, I would take it. I was on it for years and then decided to stop it because I could manage without it. But, guess what. Definitely take it with food, and be aware that in the beginning it can cause weird, intense dreams.you might want to take it in the morning in order to offset that a bit. Once your body gets used to it, you should be okay taking it at night or whenever, as long as there is food in your tummy.
